Guys With iPhones (Part 4)

Another submission, brought on by torchyboy's suggestion for taking a picture for "Show Pants Saturdays" on Twitter. And then he suggested that I put it on Guys With iPhones. And it didn't take them but half a day to post it on the site. I seriously love the site. It's just awesome. So many hot guys to look at! But anyway, here's my ugly photo:

I Love EXPRESS

So I love the clothes from Express. They're nice. They make me look nice. They're slightly expensive, but it's not like I shop there all the time, so I don't feel too bad when I do go shop there. Most of my dress shirts are from there, and I have a few sweaters and t-shirts from there too. They just have a good style and I like the way I look in them.

But more reason for me to like them... their hot models!! More specifically, Brazilian model Michael Camiloto. YUM!! He's so hot! Ok... I'm SO Gay..

HAHA, I can't deny it. I'm gay... because I'm SO into figure skating right now. It has rapidly become my latest hobby and probably one of my "phases" in which I pick up something and then drop it in a matter of weeks. HOWEVER, I'm hoping it's not just a phase and that I continue with it because I'm actually having lots of fun and I'm seeing results.

Last week, after watching the Men's Figure Skating on the Olympics, my friends and I were motivated to go ice skating ourselves. We found a night and went to the nearby rink and had TONS of fun. I hadn't been on the ice in years and it was great to just skate around. Before we left, we went on YouTube to learn how to do some simple jumps and spins. We actually got a few good pointers because we were able to do some tricks. They were UGLY.. but we did them!

After that night, I was hooked. I immediately went on youTube again and researched more. I looked up the ice rink's website and found that they offer classes. I've been in contact with the rink manager and he's going to give me a quick evaluation to see where I place in the classes. And then they're going to start in April. And they're relatively cheap. Actually a very good deal. I've also went online and bought my own pair of figure skates. :P I figured if I'm going to be going a lot, I'd rather have my own pair of skates. And they weren't that expensive! They're not the best because those can cost up to $500!! But I got a pair for $60 that are going to be just fine for me. I can't wait to skate on the ice with them next week.

I went again today with my friend, who I found out last week, used to be a trained figure skater! He stopped training years ago, but when he was there with me today, he looked so good! He taught me some technique and corrected me on my skating. He gave me some good pointers to help me. I learned how to do the backwards crossover... that's the thing that the figure skaters do when they skate backwards and are making a turn. That was my goal for today.. to learn how to do that. I had NO idea how to do it before, but now I can do it! Again, it looks sort of ugly and choppy, but HEY, I can do it and I just need more practice. I'm definitely bringing my friend along every time I go!

Anyway, here's a video of me doing those backward crossovers. :) My goal is to be able to do a double jump. I will die a happy man if I can have that under my belt.

I'm a Tramp

Last night, I was called for a photo shoot at work. Along with one of my friends, we re-enacted the pasta scene from Lady and the Tramp. She was dressed more classy while I was more casual... to go along with the Lady and the Tramp idea. Our clothes' color palette matched the fur color of the dogs and they dressed the set as closely as possible to the animated movie. We had a plate of spaghetti in front of us but we used a piece of string to put in our mouths for the actual shots.

They took a whole bunch of shots! I felt like I did a horrible job. I just don't know how to take any pictures that doesn't involve me smiling with a giant smile. I can't do subtle smiling.. or serious looks.. I'm just incapable of that. So I just hope I got lucky and they got a few good shots that they can use.

The photo shoot is for a new campaign that will be going in magazines and local newspapers. They say it'll hit the stands in the next couple of weeks. So I'm definitely going to be keeping my eyes open for it! It was a long night (10pm - 5am) but it was way fun. :)

Mansions, and Theaters, and Ocean Views... OH MY!

I am still in awe... someone pick my jaw off the ground please.... oh thank y... oh wait.. sorry, it dropped again...

So today, I had a date with a guy that I met online. He seemed like a cool guy.. a little bit of a prick at first, but I forgave him because he's good looking and is from Australia. I am in LOVE with Aussies. :P So I asked if he wanted to hang out some time. That some time was this morning. I woke up early to get ready and so that I could get to his house by 11:30. He lived about 35 minutes away from me so I had to plan accordingly.

I got in my Prius and turned on the GPS. I input his address into the system and off I go. The GPS took me all the way out to the ocean. The weather was BEAUTIFUL today... I was welcoming it after a full week of brutal thunderstorms. I drove a bit along the coast, when the GPS told me to turn up into the hills. So I was driving up the hill, the houses are getting nicer and nicer. I was wondering where I was going... I got closer and I realized that I was all the way at the top where the highest houses are. And then I saw it... a 5-story modern piece of architecture. THAT'S the house?? I walked up the stairs to get to the front door. I rang the doorbell and through the intercom he said he'll be up in a bit. As I wait, I looked out to the ocean... a SPECTACULAR view. It was seriously breathtaking.

I'm nervous at this point... meeting a guy that I don't know at all other than a few conversations online. And to top it off, this guy is seemingly LOADED. He opened the door and I stepped into view of him. He's skinnier than in the pictures... but still good looking. Maybe if he washes up a bit... He welcomed me into his house and apologized for the way he looks because he slept in. He had a long night last night. He took me up a flight of stairs and says, "You better get used to stairs... you gotta like stairs." With an Australian accent, nonetheless. YUMMM!! We exchanged some formalities and he asked if I want anything to drink. I opted for water. Then he proceeded to take me to the stairs again and into a room with plush carpet and giant bean bag chairs on the ground. Before I knew what was going on, he was pressing a bunch of buttons on a fancy console and the projector turned on lighting up a a GIANT movie screen. And then I could hear electronic whirring noises. Looking around I saw that the curtains were closing automatically, blocking out the sun. He turned on "Invention of Lying," the Ricky Gervais movie, saying that he started watching it the other day and wanted to finish it.

He picked one of the bean bags and plopped himself on it. Not wanting to be too forward, I sat down on another bean bag. We spent the entire movie on our respective bean bags. No chance for cuddling. Not really a cuddling movie any way. But throughout the course of the movie we did have a few conversations. Most intriguing was that he admitted to not having many gay friends. Most of his friends are straight. Not sure if he doesn't like hanging out with gay guys or what... But I was glad he was hanging out with me. :)

When the movie ended he he took me on a tour of the MANSION. We have more conversations along the way. And hopefully he didn't see me gawking at everything I was seeing. A beautiful spa/pool area. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The fur-lined elevator. LOL. Giant jacuzzi tub. I just have never been in a house like this before. It's just amazing!

I talked with him more and I asked what kind of business he's in. Well, he's an owner of a civil engineering company that builds tunnels, bridges, etc. for the government and then sells it to them as a product. He's a 55% owner of a publicly traded, multi-million/billion dollar company. I couldn't make out if he said million or billion because I was just so in shock at that point. Thank goodness that I had told him what MY job was first... Would've been embarrassing to talk about my measly job after his. Oh.. and he's only 28!

Then he took me into his room and we went on his computer because he wanted to show me some pictures of the damage to his house from the thunderstorms. There were mudslides and flooding in his neighborhood. Luckily his house didn't have too much damage but there was a LOT of mud. Just sat next to him on his bed while looking at these pictures. He also showed off me his house that he recently sold in Hollywood. Of course he bought a new one in Beverly Hills, but he's renovating it. He bought it for $5 million but it's gonna take about $18 million to renovate, so it'll end up being a $23 million home. Was he exaggerating?... I'm really not sure...

Unfortunately, after the pictures, it was already past the time that I needed to leave (I had work). So he took me down the several flights of stairs, past his pool table and giant office, through his garage, and down his driveway. We said our goodbyes, awkwardly. I went in for a hug, but he was moving around or something at the same moment so I sort of jerk back, and then start walking away. He said something about behaving or whatever, but I was too embarrassed to make out what he was saying. I turned back around one last time and said BYE, with a huge smile on my face to mask my embarrassment.

I got in my car and I just sort of sat there for a minute, taking in what had just happened. I just spent about 3+ hours with a hot, rich, Australian with a gorgeous mansion. AMAZING!! I drive and get to work and decide that it's been long enough that I can text him. Thanks for having me over, _(Aussie)_. I had a great time. Hope to hang out again soon.  


As I waited for a reply and thought back about our "date," I realized that we didn't even touch once. We didn't shake hands when we first met. He didn't hug me when he said goodbye. Not once did we touch. I started to think that he wasn't going to reply back because he just simply wasn't interested. 10 minutes later: Hey dude, hit me up when ur free next and we can line something up. So maybe he IS interested. :P Next "date": tomorrow night!

My Ass Hurts

Wasn't Meant To Be...

I've been really lazy lately. And not just lazy like not getting up and out of bed on time.. but so lazy that I can't even be bothered prepare myself for some hot sex. I know what you're thinking.. and yes, I'm THAT lazy. I'm worried that it's also because my sex drive isn't the same as before, and that's a even worse thing than just being lazy. Well, tonight, I finally got back some of that sex drive. Vegas Again? and Again?

If you've been reading my blog, then you know that I go to Vegas a lot. It's because I have friends that LOVE to drink and party and just go crazy. And Vegas is just about the perfect place for that. It's relatively close (4 hour drive) so we can always go on our days off from work for a day or two. It's just fun to go out and night and have fun with your friends.

Well, I was just there this past Wed/Thurs. Had an amazing time just being goofballs. The first night didn't end up all too well though. One of my friends went off to find a hookup so that left only 5 of us. Then another two of them were horsing around and one of them pushed the other into a bush and he kinda toppled over a bit, so he got him back and pushed him back into the bushes. But he picked a bad time to do it because it was a weak spot in the bushes and he fell right through. So for a second, he was lost in the bushes and had to have someone help him up. For the rest of the night, the two didn't talk to each other. And so the one that fell through the bushes and his girlfriend went back to the hotel room early. Which meant only 3 of us were left. The 3 of us made the best of our time together and did more walking around and drinking. But then when we were calling a night and heading back to the hotel room, one of us got an email that he had been waiting for regarding an audition. And the email wasn't good. He didn't get the job. So he was bummed out when we got back to the room. And to top it off, the one that went off for a hookup came back earlier than expected, crying, and went straight to the corner of the room and cried himself to sleep on the floor. HAHA. DRAMA!

The next day was a brand new day and we started off with a lunch buffet at the Mirage hotel. YUMMO! That put us all back into a good mood. And we were back to being one big happy family :) Buffets are just awesome!

Well, it's now Saturday. And I'm home with family after a long day at work. Guess where I'm going with my family tomorrow for 3 days? VEGAS! HAHA. I didn't tell my family that I went to Vegas already with my friends. It's gonna be a different Vegas experience with my family. They actually love to go to Vegas. As a family, we go almost every year at least 3 or 4 times. Whenever there's a holiday, Vegas is usually the top vacation spot for us. But that's because my family likes to eat. We are probably going to be at the buffets ALL the time. HAHA. Not sure what else we could do... we have two little ones coming along so they really can't do much. We'll see! But we're staying at the Venetian so I'm looking forward to it!

And just an update on the job hunt. Apple has not replied to me yet. No emails or phone calls back. Bummer... I decided against calling that phone number I found online. If they want me, they'll call me. In other news, I may actually be trying to take over for my choir director when he retires, which might be at the end of this year. I just emailed him about the possibility of student teaching under his apprenticeship and allowing me to teach/direct a few songs for the Concert Choir this spring and he agrees that it's an excellent idea. I hope that this happens because that would be REALLY awesome. I would LOVE to teach choir as a living! Wish me luck on this!

Applying for Apple

My job at Disney is pretty amazing.. however, it doesn't really pay much. Thus I've been trying to find other jobs that I would like to do. Searching for a teaching job right now is basically futile because the education budget in the state of California is zilch... so I'm trying to look for other jobs that fit my qualifications.

And I think I've found the perfect one: Apple Corporate Field Marketing in Educational Markets Executive. My combined BA in Economics and MA in Education/Teaching really makes me a good fit for this. It's basically someone who's in charge of the seminars/meetings that Apple sponsors/creates for high schools/colleges/universities to promote and sell their computers. The seminars teach students/teachers/faculty/staff on how best to apply Apple computers and Apple software to create the best education environment.

I wrote a really kickass cover letter for this job (tooting my own horn.. :P) and uploaded it, along with my resume, to the Apple website. And that's all I have done. There's no contact phone or email for me to follow up with them. I did this on Thanksgiving so it's been over a week. I'm starting to get restless about it and want to somehow contact them to just see if they've received it and maybe set myself apart from all other applicants.

Well, like I said, there's no email or phone number listed on their jobs website. And just basic yellow pages and simple google-ing doesn't give me anything. However, with some further searching I was able to come up with a phone number and fax number for the office. BUT, it's actually part of some guy's personal website. It show directions to the office. But is it kind of creepy to just call the office because I found their number on some guy's website. I mean, I guess they didn't publicize their phone number for a reason? But I really should follow up on my application, right? Maybe I can fax my cover letter and resume again?

What should I do?? Please help. I need all of your advice on this...

Sleepover

Last night, I had a sleepover with Ohio. No, not a cutesy sleepover like kids have back in elementary school... It was one of those sleepovers filled with groping and sticky substances.

I came home last night after seeing a performance of Mary Poppins (the musical) and as I was changing out of my dressy clothes (which, by the way, I think I looked awesome in) I got a text from Ohio: "What r u doing?" So I decide to tell him that I just turned on the TV and was about to relax. And in the back of my mind, I knew that he was bored and wanted to hang out. He replies: "I'm bored. Wanna hang out?" =P

So I tell him to come over since he lives right across the street. We turn on Glee, but we end up just talking through the first half of the episode. We just talked about different things, but we seemed to just ignore the drama that happened with James. I've gotten over it and I just didn't need to bring it up again.

After Glee, the programs that I recorded in the living room didn't interest us so we went into my room to watch the shows I recorded in there. There's only one twin bed in my room, so we both got cozy on there. We've done this before, when we first started hanging out. Back then, we stayed on our respective sides of my small bed and hardly touched. But this time, we got close and soon he was resting his head on my arm. Mini Vacation

I'm always on some sort of vacation, aren't I?

It's my friend Kevin's birthday today and to celebrate, we're going to LAS VEGAS!! Vegas is his favorite place in the whole wide world. He goes there overnight on his days off. Pretty ridiculous, if you ask me. LOL. But I was excited when he invited me to go! Vegas is the only place where I feel comfortable drinking. And I only drink the Peach Bellini at Fat Tuesdays. (I'm sure I've blogged about this before on all my other Vegas posts... :P)

Kevin's already there with some of our other friends and then a few of us are driving up today beacuse we couldn't afford missing too many days of work. But it's better this way anyway because I think spending 3 nights at Vegas is too much. I would just spend way too much money.

I do plan on spending money on a really nice buffet. I'm going to try and convince people to go to the Rio Village Seafood Buffet!! It's my FAVORITE buffet ever!! It's so freakin' good! But I guess any buffet with crab legs is good. I just LOVE crab legs!!! They might be my favorite expensive food. ;)

And if the guys don't want to go to a buffet.. I have a backup plan. Justin is also in Vegas. It's actually going to be my last time seeing Justin. He's in Vegas for a convention and then he drives his way across country to go back home. So I do want to see him one last time. He also suggested that I stay with him on Saturday night as a last goodbye... probably because he's horny. To be frank (and this is the perfect place to be), I've sort of lost my attraction for him. He's a really fun person to hang around and we have lots of things in common, but when it comes to physical attraction, it's not really there for me. Plus, he's a slobber-er... his kissing needs a lot of work. If you've read my giant Hawaii post, then you know how I feel about slobbery guys.. And it really just kills the mood when he's a bad kisser. :( Oh.. anyway.. my backup plan is to possibly break off from the group and go to a buffet with Justin. Kinda bad to break off from the birthday boy... but... I REALLY want crab legs. HAHA. But I think Kevin will also want a buffet because he loves to eat too (even though he's stick thin and super attractive) so maybe it won't be a problem. :)

Anyway, I may or may not blog using my iPhone when I'm in Vegas. But I will most likely Tweet so keep an eye on my Twitter Feed on the side if you want to keep updated on me. :P

Birthday Present

So I didn't really blog much about my birthday. I guess it wasn't that exciting. However, I did have dinner with a group of my closest friends at Souplantation and I was very happy that they took time out of their schedule to celebrate my birthday with me. I had such a great time chatting with all of them and the food was awesome. I love me some Souplantation!!! or it's Sweet Tomatoes for some of you... and for those of you who have no idea what those are... it's basically a salad buffet. But they also have wonderful baked goods and some delicious soups. I go there for the clam chowder! It's AMAZING!

On a different day, I also invited some friends over to play Nintendo Wii. That was also a lot of fun! We mostly played Guitar Hero and Mario Kart. I hadn't played in a LONG time so I was pretty bad at both. I really need to play more video games. HAHA. It just sits there, collecting dust, when I paid so much money for the console and the games! How did I afford all that crap?! Maybe I need to sell my games to get some extra money.... Some of those games I don't ever play and I can at least get about $5 for each of them, I think... Sigh, anyway... Wii Party went well. Again just glad that i have friends who want to spend some time with me. :)

As for presents, I didn't really ask for anything this year. My mom and my sister gave me cash. Loved that. :) And I got a gift card to Yogurtland from one of my friends. Yogurtland is a self-serve frozen yogurt shop with tons of differen froze yogurt flavors and then you pile on fruit and candy toppings. You pay by the ounce so you can put as much or as little as you want in your little cup. SOOO freakin' good!

But a really nice surprise birthday present came from torchy! :) A few days after my birthday, I received a thin package in the mail from the UK. He had told me he was going to be sending me something so I was excited to see it. He printed out two gorgeous pictures that he had taken and sent them over to me. They're quite spectacular pictures:

I scanned them into my computer so the quality may have suffered a bit, but I assure you the pictures look AMAZING in person. THANKS torchy! You're the best!! I love them so much and can't wait to get them framed and hanging on my wall! :)

Mad Libs #1

Matt over at Debriefing the Boys, which by the way is an AWESOME blog, recently blogged about anonymity in the blogging world and how he has to censor things that may reveal too much about his friends because he feels that it's not his story to tell when it directly involves other people.

So he wrote an entire paragraph using "[______]" for anything that would be too revealing. In the comments of that post, someone decided to play Mad Libs and filled in those blanks at his choosing. I thought it was HILARIOUS and thought it would be a fun game to play here.

Plus, it's another way to blog about my boring life without letting it get too boring on this blog! So I'll write a paragraph about something and put several blanks in there... then you all will comment on the post and fill in the blanks. I may or may not reveal what REALLY should be in the blanks in another post. Ready? Here we go:
